About me

Hi! My name is Jean. I was born and raised in the Philippines, but I now live in Melbourne.

I currently work in the field of data science, but information security and privacy. I recently finished my PhD in Cybersecurity focusing on cyber aspect of warfare.

I am a full-time human rights activist and have spoken at various fora against digital dictatorship and BigTech's shitfuckery. I am a leading member of the ASEAN Regional Coalition to Stop Digital Dictatorship, trying to battle the marriage between BigTech and the surveillance state.

Outside of my activism, I enjoy walking my dog, Heidi, vegan food, gaming (SteamDeck), programming and makeup. Hope to connect to like-minded people.

I hope that my thoughts in this blog/website have tickled some curiosity in you to contemplate about the future of our planet, our society and most importantly, our collective understanding of ourselves in relation to the capital.
